The Green Shop is an environmentally oriented shop run by the CUDP and located on Bhagsu Road in McLeod Ganj. It provides boiled and filtered water as well as a variety of eco-friendly goods including the products of the Paper-Recycling Workshop.

One major objective of the Green Shop has been to reduce the consumption of plastic bottles, which represent a large portion of waste in Upper Dharamsala. The Green Shop was the first of now many businesses offering boiled and filtered drinking water (5rs/litre). In over 15 years of operation there has not been one complaint regarding water. quality On average, the Green Shop reduces plastic-bottle consumption in McLeod Ganj by over 500 bottles per month.

The Green Shop also acts as a collection point for recyclable waste as well as hazardous waste such as expired medicines and used batteries. Rechargable batteries can be charged at the Green Shop.
